3/1, 3 & 7/10 PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW - ''Passport To The World''

The 2010 Philadelphia Flower Show will present an international bouquet of exhibits in “Passport to the World,” showcasing exotic flowers and plants from around the globe. Featured exhibits include India, a land of colors, textures, scents and sounds that will come to life amid a shower of flowers in an Indian wedding scene. The Netherlands, with its rainbow of blooms, will be portrayed in a floating flower market filled with thousands of blooms. The natural wonders of South Africa will be captured in flowers that depict the vivid colors and patterns of costumes of the Zulu. The Amazon jungle of Brazil will unfold in an otherworldly canopy of sparkling waterfalls, tropical flora and exotic wildlife. Singapore will be presented in a luminescent tribute to the orchid, and New Zealand will explode with color and imagination inspired by the wild flora and traditions of the native Maori. There will be daily internationally inspired dance and musical performances, a World Bazaar of exotic and decorative shops, as well as the International Wine and Spirits Garden in the Show’s Grand Hall. The Philadelphia Flower Show, Internationally recognized as one of the nation’s premiere events as well as the oldest and largest indoor show of its kind, is produced by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and presented by PNC Bank.

3/5 - 6/10 PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW OVERNIGHT

3/9/10 MICHAEL BOLTON - American Music Theatre

Just added by special request!! Start the weekend off early, enjoy a Friday evening at the Downs. Arrival will be around 5pm, stay until Midnight. In the spring and fall (March-May, & September-October) there will be horse racing action on the track, and in June, July and August there will be outdoor concerts. So whether it is gaming, racing, or outdoor fun, clear those calendars for the last Friday of each month at Mohegan Sun. Concert line-up TBA at a later date. (Horse races and concerts not included but available at the casino property.)

3/27/10 WASHINGTON, D.C. CHERRY BLOSSOMS

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual commemoration of the gift in 1912 of 3,000 cherry trees by Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to Washington as a memorial of national friendship between the United States and Japan. For over 95 years, people from all over the world have congregated in Washington, DC to welcome the arrival of spring and to share the special season with each other. The splendid cherry trees, the focal point of the Cherry Blossom Festival, are constant reminders of the strong and enduring friendship between the United States and Japan. Upon arrival and traffic permitting, there will be a short driving tour around the Tidal Basin. The remainder of day will be free time to visit the National Monuments, Museums or attractions of choice.

There is no guarantee blossoms will be in bloom; however, historically this is the time of the year they generally bloom. Weather will have no bearing on the status of the tour.
