1/10 PA Farm Show

A favorite from the very first time we offered this tour. Start the new year off right by visiting the largest indoor expo in the nation. The building and the show are synonymous with each other. A time for farmers and patrons alike to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of everything PA agriculture has to offer, including well over 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive and 300 commercial booths. Always a big surprise and a crowd pleaser, what will this year's butter sculpture be? Check for cooking demonstrations, try some specialty ice creams, watch the features in the arena and grab a milk shake for the ride home. A great way to start the year!

1/18 Mohegan Sun @ Pocono Downs

1/27 New York City (free day)

NYC packs more to see and do into one compact area than any other place on earth. The city known as the "big apple" is made up of five boroughs, so why not visit them all and see what each is famous for? Spend time in the Bronx visiting the zoo, or a culinary tour of Arthur Avenue & Belmont sipping cappuccinos, watching locals make pasta and sampling ricotta. Hop a cab to Brooklyn, admire the art galleries, independent bookshops and boutiques that line the cobblestone streets of Dumbo or sample some of the creative food vendors along the riverfront of Williamsburg before crossing over the Brooklyn Bridge, back to Manhattan. Catch the bright lights of Time Square and Broadway shows, or picnic in Central Park. Jump the subway for a quick jaunt to Queens, try some traditional Greek dishes in Astoria, hunt down those rare Japanese comic books in Flushing or check out Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City. Finally hop a ferry to Staten Island, taking in the view of the Statue of Liberty along the way, fill up on some authentic Indian curry at New Asha while watching a game of cricket on TV, then explore colonial life in Historic Richmond Town.
